Liquor Packaging Inspired by Tang Dynasty Culture

The Tang Dynasty Mizao Golden Top stands out from other liquor packaging designs with its distinctive features and attention to detail. The bottle cap, made of golden material, is inspired by the golden tops of the palaces in the Tang Dynasty, symbolizing the highest and noblest quality. The bottle body is crafted using the Tang pottery making technique, which not only pays homage to the architectural culture of the Tang Dynasty but also conveys the rich history of liquor making during that time. The use of cloisonne throughout the bottle body, combined with palace decorative painting patterns, adds a touch of Tang cultural charm and makes it a valuable collector's item.

When it comes to the realization of this design, the bottle body is made of carefully polished ceramic and lead-free glaze, ensuring it is environmentally friendly and safe for human use. The bottle body is adorned with colored drawings of Auspicious Cranes Playing with Lotus and Four Sacred Animals, representing peace and auspiciousness.

Measuring 180mm x 180mm x 200mm, the Tang Dynasty Mizao Golden Top is not only visually appealing but also functional. Its rounded body is designed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand, making it easy to pick up and hold. The hollow top increases friction, allowing users to open the bottle cap conveniently.

The development of the Tang Dynasty Mizao Golden Top took place in Chengdu from December 2020 to May 2021, and it was unveiled nationwide in August 2021. The design team, consisting of Hai Zhu and Huan Wang, faced challenges in combining Chinese liquor culture and the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty palaces. However, their innovative approach and use of modern techniques resulted in a design that not only pays homage to tradition but also educates users about Chinese liquor culture.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2022. This award celebrates designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life. The Tang Dynasty Mizao Golden Top truly embodies these qualities, making it a standout in the world of liquor packaging.
